DA DERRTY SWAMI

Week 10

Derrty Dawgs vs. Rump-Thumpin Chinamen

Yahoo Projected:267-231

Triple D is looking to climb up the standings of EFS while the Chinamen look to battle for a playoff spot.  The Dawgs already got big time production from the Denver Duo, Royal and Marshall.   The Chinamen’s Ryan looks good going against the Saints D.  The Dawgs Forte runs into the ruthless Titans D.  The dawgs got an early start though so this one is kinda easy.  Dawgs by 25

headbustas vs. Woolley's Bullies

Yahoo Projected:  277-272

The first and second place teams go head to head this week, with a showcase of two of the highest scoring QBs.  Woolley has Brees going against a not so good Falcons D and McNabb’s going for the bustas  against a much tougher Giants D.  This might make the difference in the match up.  Both lineups are pretty solid, though I am not sure the amount of production we will see out of Derrick Ward will mean much.  Bustas by 10

Las Vegas Slashers vs. The Mossinites

Yahoo Projected:  246-204

Another battle of teams trying to make the cut for the playoffs.  Some lineup changes have not been made yet so it is hard to call a winner…but Kellen Winslow getting 66 points Thursday night helps.  Mossinites by 25

Nelm’s Niners vs. Tonys Ponys

Yahoo Projected:  204 – 240

The Pony Jay Cutler got 91 points on Thursday. Enough said.  Ponys by 25

Blackbirds vs. Da Winna Ninnas

Yahoo Projected:  257 – 254

After their big win last week, DWN looks to continue their streak.  They did not get off to a good start.  5 points from a receiver is not good.  Expect Roddy White and a resurging LT to lead them in this one.  Birds by 20.

Week 7

headbustas VS Da Derrty Dawgs

Yahoo Projected:  281- 287

A true battle of the titans of the league through week 7.  Can the Dawgs bust some heads to give Tmill his first loss?  Rodgers and Manning will be dueling it out at the QB spots, both in real life and in fantasy.  Will Calvin Johnson have a huge game now that he is the only major receiver on the Lions?  Will the campaign of terror Bush and Gore has put on throughout the league the first seven weeks keep it?  It is going be a tough battle.  Headbustas by 5

Woolley's Bullies VS Tonys PONYS

Yahoo Projected:   234-246

A test of 4 and 2 teams, this will also be a big matchup.  I expect big things out of Hines Ward in his game vs. the Bengals.  The same goes for Cooley.  I think Brees will put up some major points against the Panthers.  If Woolley can find a replacement for freakin Micheal Pittman, I think he has this one by a hair.  Bullies by 10

Las Vegas Slashers VS Blackbirds

Yahoo Projected: 275-252

Can the high scoring Slashers finally win some games?  Will LT ever be the fantasy player expected of him this year?  I like the Birds T Holt vs Dallas with Pacman (back to it with his bad behavior), Newman, and the other Roy out in the secondary.  But I see more overall fire power on the Slashers.  Slashers by 15

Rump-ThumpinChinamen VS Nelms's Niners

Yahoo Projected: 232-272

Barber and Jackson face off for the Niners, I expect points from both of them.  How will TO’s production be with Roy in da house?  I think the matchup will come down to the backs, where Nelson cleary KO’s china with Jackson and Barber vs. Dunn and McFadden.  Niners by 25

The Mossinites VS Da Winna Ninnas

 Yahoo Projected: 237- 224

The DWN look to climb out of the cellar of the Fantasy Stars.  This is a battle for respect between the new comers to the league.  How will Jamaal Charles do for the Chiefs without Larry Boy?  Will AD ever be a serious point scorer in this league?  I don’t think so this week against the Bears, with Urlacher and Briggs matched up against him in coverage.  I think we will continue to see the breakout star Slaton for the Texans.  Mossy by 25

Week 5

Da Derrty Dawgs VS Da Winna Ninnas

Yahoo Projected: 291-251

Da battle of the Da Da’s.  DWN has a lot of stock in the skins with Jason Campbell and Moss who looked great last week against the Cowboys.  They are also starting Roy Williams going against the Bear’s Vasher.  Roy once advised fantasy owners on ESPN to never start him against Vasher as they were old college teammates and he know all his moves.    DDD is starting both Marhall and Royal and has reinserted Manning into the lineup after a bad week from Rivers.   Forte will run for forte hundred yards against the Lions D.  They are still struggling at the TE spot with Shockey out.  Dawgs by 30

headbustas VS Blackbirds

Yahoo Projected:  291-252

The bustas are still without a loss, let’s see if the beaten up birds can change that.  The bustas success this year has largely come from the scoring of one of the top QBs and the top scoring duo of RBs in our league with Bush and Gore.  Am I the ONLY one to notice he has Bush and Gore?!  Could this be a vibe as this is a presidential election year?!  But I am gonna pick an upset here for one reason.  Trent Edward’s and the newly third highest paid WR in the league Evans against the Cardinals who gave up 6 TDs to the Jets last week.  Birds by 10

Woolley's Bullies VS Nelm's Niners

Yahoo Projected: 200-234

The Niner’s Greg Jennings has averaged 121 yards a game.  Seriously.  But the rest of the team has not looked so good as shown by the 1-3 record.  The Bullies have points machine Brees but have guys like Ahmad Green, Hank Baskett, and Darren Sproles starting.  Their best receiver is a TE.  No thanks.   Niners by 50

Las Vegas Slashers VS Rump-Thumpin Chinamen

Yahoo Projected: 252-231

The Rumpers have Tony and TO going against the Bengals poor D as well as Lee Evans against Arizona.  They have a weak backfield in Warrick Dunn and Ryan Grant.  The Slashers got studs at WR with Fitz and Wayne.  But I expect big weeks out of some of Rumpers players so even with the weak backfield, I am gonna have to pick a Yahoo upset here.  Chinamen by 10

Tonys PONYS VS The Mossinites

Yahoo Projected:282-234

A battle of 3 and 1 teams.  The Ponys look solid in all the offensive positions, especially with Lynch at Arizona and the hot armed Cutler.  The Mossinites have Eli and Toomer going against the Ponys whose success will be chained.  They also have the next best duo of backs in the league with AD and the emerging star Steve Slaton.  Look at how bad WVU is without him.  However, they are starting Deion Branch and Dante Rosario, who can’t be guaranteed to put on points.  Ponys by 25

Week 4

headbustas VS Nelms's Niners

Yahoo Projected: 290-243

The headbustas look to avoid their first loss of the season against the Niners, coming fresh off their first win.    TJ had his first big week of the year last week and Reggie continues to pour in the points.  The Niners have Derek Anderson going against a pathetic Bengal’s D, which will hopefully get the Browns out of their sluggish start.  Still with guys like Vincent Jackson and Rashard Mendenhall in the starting lineup I am gonna have to go with the bustas.  Bustas by 25

Las Vegas Slashers VS Da Winna Ninnas

Yahoo Projected: 249-250

A battle between winless teams, this game will probably determine who will be in the cellar of the league the rest of the year.   The DWN look better with Campbell in the lineup, and their lineup seems pretty solid this week.  Favre takes on Arizona, so you would think he’ll put up some good points.  I expect this to be a very close one, with the Slashers just overcoming DWN.  Slashers by 5

Da Derrty Dawgs VS Tonys PONYS

Yahoo Projected: 266-251

Can the Derrty take down the undefeated Ponys this week?!  The Pony’s Cutler goes to Kansas City so that is gonna be a bloodbath, but Cutler may get have lower numbers because there is no reason to pass up 30 to nothing.   DDD starts Rivers this week, who so far has put up good numbers in this league.  The Ponys are starting Bryant Johnson and the Dawgs are starting Bo Sciafe this week, so scores should be a little lower.  It's all about byes this week for the Ponys as they will be without SIX starters from last week.  I’ll go with the Dawgs cause the Ponys have like their whole starting lineup out.  Dawgs by 10

Blackbirds VS The Mossinites

Yahoo Projected: 261-247

The Mossinites have Brian Griese coming off a HUGE week against the Pack, it should be interesting to see how he and Ike Hilliard make out.   Meanwhile, how much will a bruising LT play against the Raiders when the rest of the team can easily take them down.   The also injured AD will have a very tough time against the Titans D, which is looking among the very elite in the NFL.  I expect most of the points to come out of the passing game this week.  Birds by 20

Woolley's Bullies VS Rump-Thumpin Chinamen

Yahoo Projected: 205-224

Once again, this will be hard to predict as this probably is not going to be Wooley’s actual lineup.  Brees and Romo will both put up some major points, but as the lineups stand right now, you got some low scorers in there.  For the Bullies, Ahmad Green, after Steve Slaton rushed for big for the Texans last week?  For the Chinamen, Warrick Dunn?? He still plays??  I am hesitant to make this pick as the lineups will probably change, but lineups as is…Chinamen by 10

Week 3

Da Winna Ninas vs. Tonys PONYS

Yahoo Projected: 236-284

The league leading Ponys are going into this with a lot of confidence.   The rookie DWN are still dazed and confused as to scoring in this league, so they have a helluva mountain to climb if they want to slow down these Ponys.  First, let’s take a glance at those Ponys.  They came out of the gate faster than anyone else (Doping Allegations?) behind the arm of developing star Jay Cutler and the play of 3 veteran receivers, Moss, Burress, and Ward.  Points should be aplenty for the Ponys this week through these players.  Expect Addai to struggle on the ground this week against the Jags D, but receptions still might come his way.  DWN has solid players going at the QB and WR slots, but the real difference at RB.  Can Larry Johnson get things going after openly complaining about his touches?  Julius Jones??  The only value I see in him in this league is if the Seahawks move him to WR because every single wide out can be found on the IR!  The Ponys are gonna stay undefeated this week.  Ponys win by 40.

Nelson’s Niners vs. The Mossinites

Yahoo Projected:  237-246

This is a big game for the Niners as they look to avoid an 0-3 start.  This should be a close one.  One key thing in this matchup is if Galloway actually plays, and if not, who Nelms will play at his spot.  All Day Peterson complained of soreness this week, but don’t expect his touches to decrease much; their starting QBs name is Gus.  The Niners have two dreadlocked monsters at RB in Barber and Jackson, as well as the NFL’s leading receiver in Greg Jennings.  The Mossinites have Eli going against a terrible Bengals D, but they also have Matt Jones and Amani Toomer starting at wide outs.  The Mossinites aren’t going to be able to win through the rampant running of AD all season, not in this league.  Expect The Mossinites to go down this week, as Toomer and Jones aren’t going to put up good numbers too often.  Niners by 10.

headbustas vs. Rump-ThumpinChinamen

Yahoo Projected:  323-252

The headbustas have the highest projected points going into week 3, but who gives a shit.  Headbusta’s Aaron Rodgers goes into Dallas to take on a secondary littered with former all pros but so far this season has looked less than stellar.  Reggie Bush will also put up big numbers cause the Saints always pass to him.  So far the headbustas have looked impressive, but I see two big concerns.  First, L.J. Smith at tight end.   Second, TJ Whos your Momma isn’t looking like he is gonna be anywhere close to last year’s numbers, with a significant drop off.  The Rump Humpers got the love connection in Dallas with TO and Tony, so their success goes largely hand in hand.  One interesting sidenote,  the RTC’s Coles is playing San Diego whose secondary  has been torn a new one so far this year.  Still, the headbustas have a lot of guys who can put some serious points, so I am gonna have to go with them on this one.  Bustas by 50.

Woolley’s Bullies vs. Las Vegas Slashers

Yahoo Projected: 252-267

A good match up here between teams that only have a 13 point difference throughout the season so far.   It should be noted that at the time of this article’s release, the Wolley’s Bullies, for some unknown reason, did not have a starting IDP at one spot, which would make the Yahoo Projections even closer.  Perhaps the Bullies should step out of the Dining Hall and check out their roster before Sunday.  The Slashers have Flip Flop Favre going against the demoralized Charger D, is this the week for Broadway Brett to truly shine??  The rest of the Slashers line up looks pretty solid this week, not going against too many tough Ds.  The Bullies have Brees going against the Broncos, which did give up a lot of points to the Chargers last week, but still have some studs on D with the Champ and D.J.  But seriously, until the Bullies find guys to replace Hank Baskett, who is like fifth on the Depth Chart, and Ronnie Brown at RB, they aren’t going to be scoring high very often.  These nice guys are gonna have to get an attitude to take down the Slashers this week.  Slashers by 20.

Da Derrty Dawgs vs. Black (&blue) Birds

Yahoo Projected: 296-244

A battle of the two highest ranked teams going into the season according to Mo Knows.  The Birds are seriously beat up, with their two stars taking on injuries.  LT will play but how much is the question.  With Darren Sproles coming off a big week, you might not see LT on third down as often, meaning less catches and less points.  I would expect big things out of Witten and Holt this week, as the Rams need to realize they need to get to ball to this veteran if they want to compete.  Roddy White takes on alum Brandon Flowers of the Chiefs, let’s see if this Hokie can do the Derrty proud.   I think the real key for the Birds to win this week lies in the play of Carson Palmer against the G Men.  Can Carson step up and put up some numbers for his team?  The Dawgs would not mine as they have Ocho Cinco.  The Dawgs now have their bad boy receivers back for the first time in Marshall and Smith.  Delhomme has looked good so far, it should be interesting to see how many catches Smith gets his first week back.  Dawgs by 25.
