Week 4

Da Derrty Dawgs vs. WeBallHard

When Tom Brady and Peyton Manning get together to battle, you know things are going to be good.  Marques Colston’s production can be expected to be down against a blitz happy Jets D.  And I know some of the Ballers are Eagle’s fans, but starting Akers on a bye is not recommended.  Dawgs by 15.

Tonys PoNYS vs. headbustas

The battle of commissioners!  Who will jump out to the dominate spot of authority in EFS?  Could the headbustas actually lose two games in a row?  Wes Welker is going to have to have a big game for the headbustas to win, and I ain’t betting against that.  A close one with the bustas coming out on top.

Country Boyz vs. Catalina Wine Mixer

Two 1-2 teams trying to take the right step forward,  I like Carson Palmer against Cleveland a lot more than Philip Rivers going against the Country Boyz, which essentially is what he is.  Boyz win and then Rivers joins their team.

Bradenko’s Ninnas vs. Tha Dirty Birds

Tha Dirty Birds look to be in a tough spot at 0-3, starting their QB who is publicly on the trade block, and having to start two running backs from the same team.  The Ninnas aren’t off much better, but they Drew Brees who’s name is becoming as synonymous with fantasy as Jessica Alba.  Ninnas by 10.

Woolley’s Bullies vs. RhymeTime

Wolley has 90 projected points with only 6 starters actually playing.  That is pretty impressive, but of course I can’t pick him.  Woolley is gonna be too busy putting numbers in his cell phone to focus on this one.  RhymeTime by 10.

Las Vegas Slashers vs. Redbirds

Can the Redbirds stay undefeated?  I don’t know as a QB has not been named yet, but assumed he starts Shaun Hill, I like the Birds with MJD at a weakened Tennessee D.  Redbirds by 10.

Week 3

Picture
Da Derrty Dawgs vs. headbustas

A matchup of perennial powerhouses, the Dawgs have been off to a rough start thanks to Ted Ginn and the lack of Marshawn Lynch.  The Dawgs are counting on recently acquired Super Mario Manningham to have a huge game.  Dawgs in a heated battle, by 5.

Tonys PONYS vs. Bradenko’s Ninnas

The Ninnas are off to a great star in EFS, can they handle the baseball commish?  It’s hard to pick against a team with Brees and Sproles with how they have been playing lately.  Ninnas by 10.

Country Boyz vs. Redbirds

The Redbirds might pull a first, to my knowledge at least, in EFS by starting a wide receiver in the QB slot.  Thanks to the fine people at Yahoo Sports, Julian Edelman qualifies as a QB though I am not expecting him to take any snaps away from Tom Brady.  It is a bold strategy, will it pay off?  Birds by 10.

RhymeTime vs. Las Vegas Slashers

A battle of 1 and 1 teams, who is gonna emerge on the right track to the playoffs?  Rodgers is going against a stinky St. Louis and Tony Romo is in Pickfest 2009 along with Jake Delhomme.  RhymeTime is likely without Marion Barber, so I like the Slashers in this one.

Woolley’s Bullies vs. WeBallHard

The Bullies are lucky to have Andre Johnson, who so far looks to be a major fantasy stud.  Can Roy Williams match his production for Da Ballers?  With the Bullies having two players going against Detriot, I actually like the Bullies by 10.

Tha Dirty Birds vs. Catalina Wine Mixer

A battle of 0 and 2 teams, who gets that elusive first win?  I like CWM with Rivers at a demoralized Miami team.

The Dirty Birds vs. Redbirds

“The Temple Tussle”

Who soars higher in this new rivalry??  Which Matt, Hasselback or Ryan, will air it out for a victory?  Which 2006 draft pick, Lendale or Reggie, will miss the days of the Entourage lifestyle at USC more?  Which defense, Dallas or Chi City, will fair better against a Super Bowl Champion (Giants/Steelers)?  A lot of questions but I have only one answer: Brrrrr Birdman Bart by 15.

Woolley’s Bullies vs. Catalina Wine Mixer

“Battle of the Pimps of LBI”

Kurt was given two heartbreaking losses week 1, first the Raiders falling by 4 to the Chargers, and then falling to the Tony’s Pony’s in his long awaited “Welcome Back” game.  He heads into a big rivalry game against longtime arch nemesis, Woolley’s Bullies.  Both their QBs are going against stud D’s in Pittsburgh and Baltimore.  The key difference in this matchup?  All Day at Detroit, granted the second strings aren’t in by halftime.  CWM FTW by 10.

WeBallHard vs. Bradenko’s Ninnas

“EFL Showdown”

A heated game between the two co-managed teams, which 2 is greater than the other 2?  Can Big Trouble (Owens and Marshall) put up some big games?  Can Drew Brees throw for 1000 yards in a single game?  Can Tom Brady embarrass Rex Ryan enough for him to go on a diet?  WeBallHard will win a close one, outnumbering the Ninnas with 2 Steelers to 1.

Country Boyz vs. Tonys PONYS

“Battle of the Burgh”

The real battle of the Steel City, who is gonna emerge from the depths of the Three Rivers?  The C-Boys field a solid lineup, with every slot over 8 PP’s and every offensive starter over 12 PP’s.  But I made the mistake of picking against the Pony’s last week, and I’m not gonna do that again.  Pony’s in a close one, by 10.

headbustas vs. Las Vegas Slashers

“Battle of the Frequently Injured Ankles”

Aaron Rodgers looks sure to put up big numbers against Cincinnati.  Can the Eagles D score a billion points again versus another NFC South team?  This will be another close one, as they all are in rivalry week, but I like the Slashers taking down the Commish.

Da Derrty Dawgs vs. RhymeTime

“Battle of the White Tuxedos”

A huge bounceback win is needed from both DDD and RhymeTime.  Romo is going against a tough Giants D, and Peyton is going to Miami.  Portis is headed to a weak St. Louie D.  It kills me to do this, but the matchups really do favor RhymeTime.  And either way I win.  RhymeTime by 5.

Week 1: (4-2)

Picture
Da Derrty Dawgs vs. Las Vegas Slashers

Taking a gamble is not something new for the Slashers, based out of the gambling, prostitution, and pawn capital of the world.  Tony Gonzalez and Torry Holt are now on different teams after being on their prior teams long enough to have concession sandwiches named after them.  Da Derrty is expecting a Tweet surprise out of Ochocinco and have Eddie Royal going as the number one man against Cincinnati.  I’m not gambling here. Dawgs by 15

Country Boyz vs. Bradenko’s Ninnas

The Ninnas have fantasy stud Drew Brees going against the Lions.  That could easily be 400 yards passing.  The Cbyz have Palmer going against a secondary with Brian Dawkins and Champ Bailey in it.  I am taking the Ninnas here, by 5.

Woolley’s Bullies vs. headbustas

Once again, the Bullies make it hard to predict without a full lineup.  Woolley might want to think about a defense before Sunday.  Blowout of the week, bustas by 35

WeBallHard vs. Tha Dirty Birds

Tom Brady seeks redemption on Matt Ryan after Ryan recently was named the NFL’s best looking QB by researchers.  Superbowl MVP Santonio looks to stomp on Lendale White’s huge belly to redeem the terrible towel trashing.  This is a close one, but I like the disgruntled Brady Bunch. Ballers by 5

Tonys PONYS vs. Catalina Wine Mixer

The Wine Mixers look to pour their way back into EFS with a big win against the EFS baseball commissioner/video maker extraordinaire.  The Tonys PONYS have a lethal combination of receivers with Steve Smith, Randy Moss, and Hines Ward and the number two fantasy back, Turner the Burner.  But I think CWM has the right lineup with Rivers at Oakland and All Day at Cleveland.  A statement made by Manager Sense, CWM by 10.

RhymeTime vs. Redbirds

Rhymetime does not field the greatest offensive lineup, starting Donnie Avery and Antonio Bryant, but they do have a stud defense in Baltimore going against the Chiefs.  That D could very well outscore any single offensive component in the lineup.  The Redbirds sneakilingly put together a solid lineup(Kevin Smith, Vincent Jackson) taking a much different approach than last year with the big names (Brady, LT) go up in big flames.  Redbirds by 10.
